Situated on the rocky coast near the entrance to Reed State Park in Georgetown, Maine, this cottage is sized for three families to share and enjoy. The clients wanted a cabin that evoked an older style with nice trim work and a classic, clean, simple look.
A wide deck and large, screened porch take advantage of expansive views of the water. The interior of the main level is an open concept with kitchen and living room on the water side. There is a mudroom, dining area, bathroom, pantry, and study rounding out the main level. There are three bedrooms, a shared bath and laundry area on the upper level. The sloping site allows for a daylight basement for use as an activity room.
The interior has beamed ceilings on the main level and wood floors throughout. The exterior has cedar shingles and a standing seam metal roof.
