This beautifully proportioned cape is owned by an interior designer who wanted to add a second floor on the waterside of the house. Four shed dormers were added along the length of the house to capture light and views of the ocean. The dormer on the right is the master bathroom, followed by the master bedroom, study, and child’s bedroom. Stairway access to the new floor was carefully inserted next to the basement stair, without disrupting the formal dining room on the main level.
